With Benjamin Franklin’s original Assembly Collection, including the Pennsylvania Magna Charta and many other one-of-a-kind, priceless collections, this rare collection needed top-of-the-line professionals of architects, archivists and storage experts to bring excellence of care and protection.
Perforated shelves, uprights and end panels helped provide the needed circulation for the rag based collection. In addition, LED lights were installed on low profile brackets. The LED lights contributed to the elimination of any UV rays in the vault. The lights were only 3/4” wide and 18” long and provided just 1.5 foot candles of illumination.
Worktables were created with 4-Post shelving arranged in a pod with customized stainless steel work surfaces fabricated for a clean workroom environment.
In addition to that were custom flat file drawers on 4-Post shelving for storage of rag based maps and newspapers.
