It’s National Library Week!
The first ever National Library Week took place 58 years ago— with a theme of “wake up and read.” Libraries have always provided space for quiet reading and research, and now libraries are also becoming places for patrons to create projects, share ideas, and connect with technology.
This year’s National Library Week captures the change with the theme, Libraries Transform. This sparked our attention, because not only do libraries transform their communities — sometimes a library’s physical structure is transformed.
That’s where Spacesaver comes in. For more than 40 years, we’ve been helping libraries evolve, develop and prosper. Today’s libraries are shifting from the common quiet reading space to community resource centers, providing space for collaborative areas, media labs, computer workstations, cafés, books, and so much more. Our compact storage systems, shelving on wheels, and other solutions help community libraries offer patrons modern services and inspiring spaces in which to work.
