TUSC Control App Instructions

Control your high-density mobile system from the palm of your hand. Follow these simple steps to allow your mobile device to open and close aisles, search for items, and receive safety notifications. NOTE: Only 1 device and one user can be connected to the system at a time. Disconnect from the system by pressing the (link chain) button.

Simulation Setup

  1. Open TUSC® Control app.
  2. Press (pencil icon) to configure a system.
  3. New system will not appear, press (+) to add a new system.
  4. Press "Scan" in the Device ID area.
  5. Select a "Simulator" from the list. Press "Save".
  6. Press "Name" in the System Name area and enter a name of your choice.
  7. Press "Password" in the system password area and enter a password of your choice.
  8. Press "Save".
  9. Select the "Simulator" system.
  10. Press  (link chain icon) to connect to the system.
  11. Next time you want to run the "Simulation", select the system name from the listing and press (link chain icon) to connect.

First Time System Setup in App

  1. Open TUSC® Control app.
  2. Press (pencil icon) to configure a system.
  3. New system will not appear, press (+) to add a new system.
  4. Press "Scan" in the Device ID area.
  5. Select a detected system for the list. Press "Save".
  6. Press "Name" in the System Name area and enter a name of your choice.
  7. Press "Password" in the system password area.
  8. Your password is printed on the blue box mounted to the far left shelving unit on your system. Enter the password (may have to hide keyboard to continue).
  9. Optional Step: Select "Disable Control Heads" to prevent other people from using the system while you’re connected.
  10. Press "Save".
  11. In the "Connection Type" area select a connection method that will be used for future connections to the system. Suggested setting: "Auto-Strongest Signal".
  12. In the "Connection Time Out" area specify the number of minutes that should elapse before your connection times out.
  13. Select a listed system.
  14. Press  (link chain icon) to connect to the system.

System Control

  1. Press and hold the green numbered aisle button (aisle button) in a closed aisel for about 2 seconds to open the aisle.
  2. Press the (stop icon) to stop all system movement.
  3. Press the numbered aisle buttons that are not green to receive messages about actions that need to be taken to move the system.

Item Add/Edit

  1. Press the (button) to display a listing of items stored on the left and right side of the aisle.
  2. Swipe in the indicated area at the bottom of the screen to the aisle of interest.
  3. Select an item and press (pencil icon) to edit.
  4. Select an item and press (X) to delete.
  5. Press the (+) to add an item.

Item Locator

Keyword Searching

  1. Key in the item you are searching for in area to the right of the search icon.
  2. If the item is found the numbered aisle button will be outlined in purple indicating the location in the system.

Browsing Aisle

  1. Press the (button) to display a listing of items stored on the left and right side of the aisle.
  2. To view/edit items in other aisles swipe left or right at the indicated area at the bottom of the screen.

Sharing Item List

Export

  1. Disconnect from the sytem [image].
  2. Press the (pencil icon) to get to the Configuration screen.
  3. Select system.
  4. Press (pencil icon).
  5. Press "Export" in the item functions area.
  6. Select the email program to be used and enter email the addresses for recipients of the item list, "Send".
Editing the Items List in Excel
  1. Use a spreadsheet to open the .csv file that was exported from the App.
  2. The number of columns and column headings must not be changed. Follow the template to enter new items or edit existing items.
  3. When edits are complete save the file as .csv file.
  4. The file is now ready to be emailed and then imported into the app.

Import

Apple Devices
  1. Open email and select the items file and select the TUSC® Control icon.
  2. Select the system to import to.
  3. Press the "Import" button.
Android Devices
  1. Open email and download the file.
  2. Open the TUSC® Control App.
  3. Disconnect from the system [image].
  4. Press the (pencil icon) to get the configuration screen.
  5. Select system.
  6. Press (pencil icon).
  7. Press "Import" in the inventory functions area.
  8. Select a file.
  9. Select the desired system.
  10. Press the "Import" button.
