Commonly referred to as pass-back lockers, Non-Pass-Thru Evidence lockers can be found within or outside evidence processing rooms and are easily mounted against a wall. In courthouse applications, these lockers are used to keep the chain of custody intact for crucial pieces when cases go to trial. Also, available with refrigeration capabilities, these solutions are ideal for storing trace and biological evidence and can be customized to fit under forensic scientists’ desks for extra security and space savings.

In order to access deposited materials, authorized personnel utilize a dedicated key and transport them into their processing room. Should a department’s needs change and footprint allow, Non-Pass-Thru Evidence Lockers can be converted to a pass-through configuration.

Pass-Thru Evidence Lockers

Integrated into a wall that separates the evidence drop-off area from the property and evidence room, Spacesaver’s Pass-Thru Evidence Lockers allow materials to be deposited into dedicated locker openings on one side and retrieved for processing through full-size doors on the other. These full-size rear doors allow personnel to efficiently remove items and reset the locker openings for use, and are available with a choice of solid or mesh doors for easy visibility.

Like the non-pass-through configuration, Pass-Thru Lockers can be outfitted with refrigeration and power to accommodate all forms of evidence. Furthermore, they can be outfitted with an optional front lockout system that secures all front doors when the rear doors are opened, preventing unauthorized access.
