Acquisition & Procurement

Navigating the rules and processes for purchasing equipment and goods in the military can be complex when your goal is to maximize available funding. At Spacesaver, we’re here to make it as easy as possible for you to get the supplies you need with less hassle. Let us show you a few of these procurement options.

Procurement Options

compliant commercial-off-the-shelf and indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity purchase options
Existing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)

Using existing FAR and DFAR compliant COTS IDIQ contract vehicles is the most effective acquisition strategy for you to purchase Spacesaver solutions. Existing DOD-approved COTS IDIQs, such as the various Tailored Logistics Support Programs (TLSPs) managed by DLA, reward you for taking the time to find the highest quality products for your facility. Some of the TLSPs include Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), Special Operations Equipment (SOE), Fire and Emergency Services and Equipment (FESE), and Ability One Base Supply Centers (ABOBSC).

general service administration contract
General Service Administration (GSA)

Government agencies, like The Department of Defense (DoD), often turn to GSA for a slightly more convenient bidding and purchasing method than the open market. Additionally, this avenue puts more control of what you will receive from this bidding process versus being the cornerstone of the requirement and transaction. Only GSA contract holders can respond to these RFQs, thus eliminating unwelcome and/or inexperienced competition. GSA can also offer value to you when looking for Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing in the industry on certain products, as items on GSA go through a “fair-and-reasonable” supplier product pricing vetting exercise by a GSA contracting officer.

national stock number purchasing option
National Stock Number (NSN)

Using NSN is a common and favorable option for military purchasing because it typically puts the control in your hands. This is also not a complicated procurement process, making it an attractive route for you to sustain your products and/or program.

open market lowest priced technically acceptable purchasing option
Open Market

Using an open market contracting method allows for increased competition, which frequently leads to Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LTPA) awards being made. As the open market is under the full control of contracting officers, our experts will help to ensure you get the highest-quality, tailored solutions that Spacesaver can provide.
