When it comes to temporary storage of crucial evidence, one law firm decided to raise the bar and establish a new precedent for secure and organized evidence locker storage.
When the project first hit the desk of Spacesaver Solutions’ Rob McClelland in Aurora, Ontario, the objective was twofold: To maximize storage in a room that, for all intents and purposes, had been robbed of every spare inch, and to provide additional security for chain of custody for evidence.
The chain of custody control would now go through one person at the firm, who was charged with adding and removing all the evidence.
Rob made the case for Spacesaver Evidence Lockers, and the client loved it. Granted, they’re a law firm and police station quality storage lockers may at first seem completely over-the-top, but it was precisely the level of security they wanted—they needed—to give their clients the added confidence and trust in them to operate their practice effectively.
The project team went to work designing and installing their evidence lockers with “CSI” focus and determination. The system included multiple sizes to accommodate a variety of evidence. The chain of custody for evidence would now go through one person at the firm, who was charged with adding and removing all the evidence. One-way doors also provided another line of protection.
